Welcome to the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy Continuing Professional Development and Outreach Web site. As part of our mission to address the continuing education needs of pharmacy practitioners and other health care providers, our website includes up-to-date information and registration for current programs being offered. Vision

The Office of Continuing Professional Development & Outreach seeks to inspire lifelong learning; cultivate service to the profession, community and society; and, prepare a competent pharmacy workforce.

Mission

The Office of Continuing Professional Development & Outreach actively seeks and identifies educational opportunities for pharmacists and technicians; and provides quality activities to improve the healthcare of Georgia and beyond.

Goals

The Office of Continuing Professional Development & Outreach will provide activities that build the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values of pharmacists and technicians, and are designed to impact practice, patients, and patient care. To achieve this goal, we will:

  • Meet or exceed standards, policies and guidelines appropriate for pharmacy continuing professional development.
  • Position pharmacists as active members of the healthcare team through delivery of knowledge, application, and practice-based continuing education.
  • Support pharmacy technicians in meeting continuing pharmacy education requirements and maintaining certification through jointly-provided activities.

Privacy Statement

Personal information acquired through registrations is not distributed outside the College of Pharmacy except to the organization sponsoring a conference or event or as required by the state of Georgia's Open Records Act. While we do not actively share information, in some cases we may be compelled by Open Records requirements to release information gathered from our web servers.

The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

Accreditation Policy

ACPE now requires that all pharmacy continuing education (CE) credits must be processed and claimed no later than 60 days from the date of the live activity or completion of an on-demand activity. Effective July 1, 2014 CE credits earned from activities will NOT be accepted by CPE Monitor beyond 60 days from the date of the live activity or completion of an on-demand activity.
